What is GRP
Fiberglass is a material produced from very thin glass wires that are melted and passed through molds. This material is widely used especially in the construction and automotive industry. Using the word fiberglass for reinforced plastic in daily speaking language causes misconceptions. Fiberglass material is reinforced with polyester or vinyl ester resins using methods such as RTM, BMC, SMC, Wick winding, and infusion, and this composite material is called Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP).

Fiberglass is a material which usage area is expanding with the developing technology. Fiberglass, which provides an advantage with its waterproof characteristic in terms of roof coatings, is also used as a coating material for different surfaces. It is used in a very wide range, such as wall decorations, shingling, concrete molds, kitchen countertops, water, and chemical transfer pipes.
