SAFE-SEAL® GRP Coupling

Glass-reinforced plastic pipes are attached with pressure and non-pressurized lines and with a coupling connection system that provides precise sealing. ESEN SAFE-SEAL® GRP Couplings are produced using the same raw materials and the same process technology as Standard GRP pipes.

Connection sleeves produced from ESEN SAFE-SEAL® GRP pipes are processed in sleeve manufacturing machine and slots are opened according to EPDM REKA seal and stopper tolerances. Esen SAFE-SEAL® EPDM seals provide double-sided sealing with its special structure.

Performance under stress and seismic movements

ESEN Safe SEAL GRP Couplings

Being produced from the same materials, on the same production line of the pipes, Reka couplings show the same mechanical performance under stress and seismic movements as deflection.

OTHER Type GRP Couplings

Other types of GRP Couplings are being produced by special winding glass fiber equipment and without the usage of sand. The stiffness value of the coupling is much higher than the pipes. In conditions, underground stress and movements don’t show the same performance as the pipes. There is a gap between pipe and coupling which causes leakages.

Extremely adaptive behavior of the EPDM gaskets in conditions of inner and outer heavy loads.

OTHER Type GRP Couplings

In case of extra loads from high DN or 100% full pipeline, the other type gaskets can be easily pressed and damaged.

Full automatic, almost 0mm tolerance during the coupling grinding/calibration securing prevention of human mistakes.

Open for human or productional mistakes during the winding process.

Leakage Performance

6 and more lips on gasket providing higher non-leakage performance on high-pressure lines.

OTHER Type GRP Couplings

Created mostly for gravity lines with the standard by 1 lip from each side. For high pressure a possibility of leakage.

Maintenance Options

ESEN Safe SEAL GRP Couplings

Low maintenance cost. In case of any damages to gaskets, no need to replace the complete coupling.

Replacement only of the gasket is applicable.

OTHER Type GRP Couplings

If the gasket is damaged the coupling completely shall be replaced without the possibility to be repaired.

Can be used as a Repair Coupling?

ESEN Safe SEAL GRP Couplings

Yes!

The specific structure of ESEN Safe Seal allows usage as a Repair Coupling by removing the stopper part.

OTHER Type GRP Couplings

No!

The usage of coupling as Repair Coupling is impossible. Non-adjustable.

Storage Performance

ESEN Safe SEAL GRP Couplings

Safe SEAL protection tape allow extends the storage period on-site under different weather conditions.

In case of a long period of storage on-site without protection from sunlight, the gaskets can be easily removed from coupling and used once the installation started.
